Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Proparlab ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Propar Lab. We provide an AI search visibility platform that helps websites get indexed and discovered across search engines and AI platforms. Our website is proparlab.com and you can reach us at hello@propar.in.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following types of information when you use Proparlab:

• Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up via Google or email (powered by Clerk).
• Project data: Domain names, sitemap URLs, and Google Search Console property details you provide.
• Google Search Console data: With your explicit OAuth consent, we access your GSC property to read URL indexing status and submit URLs on your behalf.
• Usage data: Pages submitted, submission timestamps, response codes from indexing APIs, and daily usage counts.
• Bing Webmaster API keys: If you provide a Bing API key, it is stored encrypted and used solely to submit URLs to Bing.
• Contact information: Name, email, and message if you use our contact form.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and referring URL collected automatically via server logs.

3. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Proparlab service.
• To submit your URLs to Google, Bing, IndexNow, and AI search platforms on your behalf.
• To send you service-related notifications (indexing results, usage alerts, account updates).
• To respond to support requests and contact form submissions.
• To enforce our Terms and Conditions and prevent abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Google OAuth and data

When you connect Google Search Console, we request read and submit access to your verified GSC properties. We store an encrypted refresh token to maintain this access. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google account settings or from within Proparlab. We only use GSC access to (a) read indexed/non-indexed URL status and (b) submit URLs for indexing. We do not share your GSC data with any third party.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (AWS us-east-1). OAuth tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication sessions (via Clerk) and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. We use Meta Pixel on our marketing pages for conversion tracking — this sets a cookie from Facebook. You can disable this via your browser settings.

7. Third-party services

Proparlab uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Clerk — authentication
• Neon — database hosting
• Vercel — hosting and edge functions
• Google APIs — Search Console integration
• Bing Webmaster API — URL submission
• QStash (Upstash) — background job queuing
• Resend — transactional email
• Meta Pixel — marketing analytics

8. Data retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. URL submission logs are retained for 90 days. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Withdraw consent for Google OAuth access at any time.
• Object to processing of your data for marketing purposes.

10. Children's privacy

Proparlab is not directed to individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us immediately.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice in the app. Continued use of Proparlab after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
