Connect Bing Webmaster Tools
Bing Webmaster Tools powers indexing for Bing and Bing Copilot, and feeds several AI answer engines. Before connecting on Proparlab, your site must be added and verified in Bing Webmaster Tools, and you’ll need its API key. The fastest path is to import your site straight from Google Search Console. This guide covers both halves — Bing setup first, then the Proparlab connect.

Part 1 — Sign in to Bing Webmaster Tools
Open Bing Webmaster Tools and sign in with a Microsoft, Google, or Facebook account. First-time users land on the “Add your site” screen.

Add your site — import from Google or add manually
Bing gives you two ways to add a site:
- •Import from Google Search Console (recommended) — click Import, authorize Google, and select the GSC property. Bing pulls in the site and auto-verifies it. Fastest, no DNS work.
- •Add manually — enter your site URL, then verify ownership with one of: an XML file uploaded to your site root, a
<meta>tag in your<head>, or a CNAME DNS record.

Confirm your site is verified in Bing
Once verified, your site appears on the Bing Webmaster dashboard with its metrics. If you added manually, complete the verification method you chose and click Verify.

Open API Access and generate your API key
Click the settings gear (top-right) → API Access → API Key. If no key exists yet, click to generate one, then copy it.

Part 2 — Paste the API key into Proparlab
In your Proparlab project’s Connections panel, find Bing Webmaster Tools, paste your API key into the field, and click Save / Connect.

Confirm it’s connected
The Bing row shows Connected. Proparlab can now submit your URLs to Bing and read your Bing indexing status. You can update or remove the key anytime in project settings.

Where exactly is the API key in Bing?+
Settings (the gear icon, top-right) → API Access → API Key. If the section looks empty, click to generate a key first, then copy it.
What’s the fastest way to add my site to Bing?+
Import from Google Search Console. If your site is already verified in GSC, Bing imports and auto-verifies it in a couple of clicks — no DNS or file work needed.
My key was rejected by Proparlab.+
Re-copy it with no extra spaces, and make sure the site is verified in the same Bing account. If it still fails, regenerate the key in Bing Webmaster → API Access and paste the new one.
Do I still need Bing if I connected Google?+
Yes. Bing/IndexNow reaches Bing, Yandex, Naver and several AI engines that Google’s path doesn’t cover. Connect both for full indexing coverage.
